From Derry to the World
A Voice Forged in the North of Ireland
Discovered at seventeen after winning a local talent competition, Conor McGinty took his powerful tenor voice gigging across Ireland and beyond — before The X Factor UK brought him to national attention in 2016, earning four yeses and a place among the final thirty at the Six Chair Challenge.
He has appeared on ITV, BBC, RTÉ and UTV, shared stages with and earned praise from the biggest names in music, and topped the iTunes World Music Chart twice — with his debut album A New Dawn and festive release This Christmas.
In 2023 he became the first man ever to sing the Irish national anthem for a sitting Irish President in the North of Ireland, performing for President Michael D. Higgins before 7,000 spectators. In 2025, his home city honoured him with the Derry Journal Arts & Culture Icon Award.
